Luciano Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria has been serving Northern Virginia since 1973; serving Oakton since 1995!  Our concept is simple. We serve fresh Southern Italian food with real homemade flavor.

We make our bread from scratch and bake it four times a day. We knead our own pizza dough every afternoon. We make our own sausage by grinding fresh meat and stuffing the casing in-house. We create our own soups using fresh all-natural ingredients. We use Semolina spaghetti imported from Italy as well as make pasta fresh in-house.

For those looking for a new experience in Italian cuisine we offer our “Daily Specials Menu” that contains new and seasonal entrees. But, if you are looking for old family favorites such as Spaghetti with Meatballs or Eggplant Parmigiana, made from our own family recipes, they are always available on our regular menu. Our goal is for you to experience “a taste of Italy in every bite.”

Our History

The first Luciano Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria opened in Hackensack, New Jersey in 1965, over 53 years ago.  It was a small fifteen-seat restaurant owned and operated by Luciano and his wife, Anna.  Together, they went on to open sixteen successful Luciano Italian Restaurant and Pizzerias in Northern New Jersey between the years 1965 and 1972.

 
 In 1973 Luciano was sought out by the management of Tyson’s Corner Shopping Center in McLean, Virginia, to open a Luciano Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria in the Mall. It was the first Luciano Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria in Northern Virginia, and served MILLIONS of happy customers for over 43 years.
 
Opened in 1995, the Oakton location is the twenty-second Luciano Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria. It is owned and operated by the second-generation of Luciano restaurateurs and is the only Luciano remaining in the Washington metro area. From the first to the twenty-fifth, Luciano Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria is a special place with a proud history of delicious, quality food and friendly service.  It is a source of constant delight to its owners, to the special friends they have met along the way and to the many wonderful employees that have been part of Luciano throughout the years.
